50% deposit on agreement of the proposal. 50% balance on delivery of the final files. Work begins when the deposit is received. Files are delivered when the balance is cleared. This structure is consistent across every project and is non-negotiable.

My design process is split into 3 main parts:

• Discuss: we’ll chat after our first contact to get a feel for you and your business. This way, I can nail down a project plan that works for us.

• Define: Once we've got that agreement sorted, I'll dig deeper into the project, using mood boards and concepts to really hone in on our main idea.

• Define: Then, I'll get to work on a bunch of concepts and refine them until they're spot on.

• Deliver: Finally, I'll deliver all your project files and other goodies just as we laid out in our agreement.

For focused single-asset projects — an infographic, a packaging refresh, a pitch deck — two to four weeks before you need work to begin is usually sufficient. For full brand systems and multi-asset rollouts, six to eight weeks is a more realistic lead time. The earlier the better for complex briefs. The discovery conversation is where timelines are confirmed.
